Hello
“My philosophy on swimming is ultimately to have fun, but also keep in mind that hard work overcomes talent almost every time. I am here to be your biggest cheerleader and advocate. Whatever your goals may be, I am here for you 24/7 and nothing is more gratifying than to see dreams achieved. I’ll help in anyway possible.”
My Story
Swimmer: I swam Division I at Missouri State University from 2011-2015. As the first All-American for the program, I competed in the 100 fly, 100 back, 200 back, and the 200IM. After graduation, I professionally competed internationally for Vietnam, where my family is from. “Both of my parents are Vietnamese refugees, and it was an honor to represent Vietnam internationally.” I also trained in the US with NC State University from 2019-2022.
In 2016 I qualified for the Rio Olympics in the 100m backstroke and missed the 2021 Tokyo Olympics by 0.7 seconds in the 100m backstroke going 54.55 at the 2019 World Championships in Korea but missing the Olympic cut, 53.85.
Coach: While competing for Vietnam, I was the Head Age Group Coach, ages 9-13, for MSA (Missouri State Aquatics) from April 2014-2019 in Springfield, Missouri. Then I moved from Missouri to NC State to train and was the Head Age Group Coach for ages 9-13, for RSA (Raleigh Swim Association) from August 2021-December 2021 in Raleigh, North Carolina.
